Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:17AM New years come and go and this one, 2012, getting older by the day, could definitely be "Our Year". I say this every year because, deep down, I long to be irritating and not witty - like what I am most of the time. "Our Year" is an anagram of "your ear" - as famously borrowed by Mark Anthony in William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar - but of course, you already knew that. But soft, this is no ordinary waffle - nor any other kind of Break Fast fodder - I am attention seeking - your attention in Particular!
If you have managed to read thus far without losing the will to live, huge thanks are due to Luke, my long-suffering IT literate son, for sprucing up this website so that I can post these mini-blogs via email - wherever I am!
So, please watch this space if you want to follow my mood swings and bowel movements - yes I'm ready to SHARE EVERYTHING! Well, not exactly - but I am writing and recording my Audio Memoirs - so I am a bit "all about me" - at the moment.
Over Christmas it suddenly dawned that I should abandon the "book" I've been dabbling with for the last 10 years and record it instead. I am a microphone man after all and I've got all the gear I need - here at home. I have purchased an Electrovoice microphone - the one favoured by "Radio Announcers" all over the world - and all systems are go.
I have no idea at the moment in which format these Audio Memoirs should made available - I would like to know if you have any suggestions? CD, Webcast, Download, other? Right now I'm putting together half hour instalments - and its a major undertaking - but I'm having the time of my life mixing music with reality and fantasy with fact. I am SO interesting!
